Safety Starts
In the Design
Our health and safety management system is aligned with ISO 45001. Every attachment is engineered with operator safety as a core requirement.
Our Commitment to Safety
At Sieruta, safety is not an afterthought — it's engineered into every attachment from the first CAD drawing to final delivery. We protect three groups:
Manufacturing Team
Fabrication, welding, and finishing operations
Field Operators
Operators using our attachments daily
Site Personnel
People working near excavators on job sites

Quick Coupler Safety (ISO 13031)
OSHA has documented 15 quick coupler-related fatalities over 7 years. Proper safety mechanisms prevent unexpected attachment release that can cause severe injury or death. All Sieruta hydraulic quick couplers meet ISO 13031 safety requirements.
Front Lock
Primary locking at front prevents fall-forward release
ISO 13031 MandatorySafety Springs
Maintains lock even with hydraulic failure
ISO 13031 MandatoryVisual Indicator
LED or paint marking shows lock engagement
ISO 13031 RecommendedConnection Test
Operator can verify secure attachment before lift
Best PracticeBefore Each Use: Operator Checklist
Quick Coupler Inspection
- Visual inspection of locking mechanism (no damage, wear, or deformation)
- Verify safety pin engagement (fully seated, not bent)
- Check hydraulic lines for leaks, damage, or loose fittings
- Test lock/unlock cycle (no sticking or unusual resistance)
- Confirm visual/audible lock indicator (if equipped)
Attachment Inspection
- Check for cracks in welds or structural damage
- Verify all pins and hardware are secure
- Inspect wear components (edges, teeth) for excessive wear
- Check bucket interior for debris or foreign objects
- Verify quick coupler mounting is tight (no play or movement)
Ground-Level Connection Test
- Attach quick coupler with attachment on ground
- Verify lock engagement (visual + audible confirmation)
- Attempt to lift attachment slightly and lower
- Re-verify lock before full lift operation
Safe Operation Guidelines
Quick Coupler Connection
- • Always connect/disconnect on level ground
- • Never attach/detach while bucket is suspended
- • Verify lock engagement before lifting
- • Re-check locks after first movement
- • Never rely on hydraulic pressure alone to hold attachment
Load Management
- • Know your machine's rated capacity
- • Account for attachment weight + material load
- • Avoid side-loading or twisting under load
- • Do not exceed manufacturer's pin size specifications
- • Use proper lifting technique (gradual, controlled)
Work Zone Safety
- • Maintain exclusion zone around excavator
- • Use spotter for blind spots or restricted visibility
- • Never swing loads over personnel
- • Ensure stable ground before operations
- • Follow site-specific safety protocols
Recommended Inspection Intervals
- Visual inspection of quick coupler and attachment
- Locking mechanism function test
- Hydraulic line check
- Wear component assessment
- Detailed coupler pin wear measurement
- Hardware torque verification
- Lubrication of pivot points
- Weld inspection (visual check for cracks)
- Dimensional verification (pin holes, mounting points)
- Structural integrity assessment
- Hydraulic system pressure test (if applicable)
- Documentation review (maintenance records)
- Professional inspection and certification
- Non-destructive testing (ultrasonic weld inspection)
- Pin replacement (if wear limits exceeded)
- Update maintenance records
